Investment potential of Polish cities. Location benchmark of the business services sector.

The report is a summary of a unique study of the investment potential of Polish cities based on the proprietary ABSL City Attractiveness Matrix ©,

which reflects the importance of individual factors influencing the investment attractiveness of the location. City ratings were compiled based on the Subjective Ranking and the Objective Ranking.

ABSL Separator

Subjective Ranking of the attractiveness of cities.

The subjective ranking was created based on the results ABSL 2020 Survey based on responses from management of the business service centers in Poland. Rated cities: Warsaw, Wrocław, Kraków, Tri-city, Łódź, Poznań, Katowice and GZM.

Objective Ranking of the attractiveness of cities.

Objective ranking is based on statistical analysis. Besides the main ones the categories additionally took into account from a few to a dozen or so characteristics of a given category to correctly assess the site's position in relation to competitors - ABSL City Attractiveness Matrix ©. Objective ranking took over 15 urban centers. Apart from the cities assessed in the the Subjective Rankingów, the Objective Ranking embraced Szczecin, Białystok, Kielce, Radom, Tarnów.

Comparison of the Objective Ranking and the Subjective Ranking

Comparison of the subjective ranking results according to managers' ratings to the objective based one perception of the centers by investors, and thus indicate future trends. More accurate the analysis can bring valuable knowledge to local authorities pointing to a discrepancy in perception and condition actual and thus be a field for information and promotion activities. There may be discrepancies also a premise for the occurrence of deeper-seated problems that require addressing already on this stage of preventive or pre-emptive actions. Comparative analysis of rankings creates space for the implementation of changes increasing the investment potential of the location.
